So my brother is going to NYC during the weekend of Thanksgiving Holiday. I was just wondering, do Broadway shows do rush tickets during the big holidays (i.e. Christmas, Thanksgiving) and if they do, is it generally harder to get tickets then?
He was hoping to see Catch Me If You Can and How to Succeed.

they have in previous Thanksgivings that I've tried. I found other than the Sat, it's not really that much harder to get rush tickets. For Sat, I would just err on the cautious side and go a bit earlier than you normally would. On Thanksgiving Day, it was actually the same as usual (if not easier) despite very few shows going on, thus limited choices.
It would also behoove you to look into what shows have modified schedules during the holiday week, since there's the possibility of a Friday matinee that might be easier to get tickets for.

^ This. I saw South Pacific via student rush during Christmas week a few years ago because no one knew there was a show that day.
