Rush Wait Times

Am I crazy or didn't I run across a website recently that listed the most recent wait times / what time to arrive in the morning, for each show if you're planning on getting rush tickets. It was this great website and they listed each show and said recently how early you should arrive, etc.

The website you're thinking of is here:
http://www.broadwayspotted.com/category/rush-report/
But you should be warned - I've stopped using that site because I've FREQUENTLY found their information to be very off. Plus they will often omit shows for no reason, keep including shows that have already closed, and other errors along those lines.
It can be a good tool to gauge a rush's popularity, but you have to take it with several grains of salt. I've been better off looking for info on this message board from actual people's experiences.

Oh, if that's the issue, just go. I think it's pretty easy to get SRO at Fun Home. I'd say shoot for showing up at 8/8:30.

Nice. Yeah, I'm thinking if we leave DC around 5:30am-ish we could try to get standing room tickets to Fun Home. Are they fairly easy to get? I'd hate to make the drive only to find out that we can't get anything. And I know they do the mobile lottery which doesn't guarantee tickets

I went with my friend and we got there around 8/8:30. It wasn't that long ago. I think we were 5th in line or so and many people ended up showing up by the time the box office opened. I'd say 20-ish give or take. The woman running things didn't seem to be discouraging anyone from getting out of the line and when we showed up at night there seemed to be a lot of standing room spots. If you can, I'd try to go on an off day though (like, not a weekend).

FUN HOME only sells SR when the show is totally sold out. In recent weeks that means only on Saturdays. If the show does sell out on a weekday, it very rarely is sold out at 10:00 AM when the box office opens so waiting in the SR line will not get you a ticket.
Check with the box office the day before you want to get in line. They will tell you if SR will be offered the next day at 10:00 AM. I did the SR line on Sat., 10/24 -- at 10:00 AM SR tickets were sold for both the matinee and evening shows.

Yeah, I'd pay close attention to how the show is selling before you make the trip... assuming a discounted or TKTS ticket isn't an option if SR isn't available.

Interesting. Has the show been on TKTS recently? My sister is coming to visit me in DC and I know how happy it would make her to drive up and see Fun Home but it would suck if we made the drive and they weren't even offering SR tickets.

Since I live in NYC, I tend to avoid shows on weekends, since they cost more, they're crowded, and you can get better seats on days when people are less inclined to see a show. If they weren't sold out, they would still sell you one with a discount code (FHTMC1019) for $109, TKTS would be like $80ish, so you'd have some options. I would also say you both should enter the lottery on your way up for either or both shows for that day, cover your bases.
The matinee is down to less than 15 seats, so you're probably safe for that one selling out. But sometimes, they can be sticklers, and if there are four unsold seats, they will hold back on the SRO until someone buys them...

ugh. what a mess. I hope it all works out and I can take my sis. I know it would mean a lot to her.

Just do a shotgun approach, enter a bunch of digital lotteries in advance, if they still aren't offering SRO when the box office opens, try the Hamilton lottery, then the Spring Awakening lottery, then try back and see if SRO opened up... you'll see something. If you came up for Fun Home, and ended up front row for Hamilton, that's a pretty good Plan B.
