I'm travelling to NYC on 26th April and would appreciate some advice on how the rush lines have been lately for Shuffle Along, Finding Neverland, The Color Purple, Disaster! and Something Rotten.

I intend to rush Finding Neverland (afternoon) and Shuffle Along (evening) on Weds. 27th. As far as I know it's the last day that Shuffle Along are offering rush tickets so I figured I should go there first then hot-foot it over to the Lunt Fontannne.

Two questions:

1) What time should I aim to arrive at the Music Box for Shuffle Along rush?

2) If I get to the L-F after 10.15am is it likely that all the rush tickets will be gone? And if so is it possible they'll do SRO (i.e. is the show selling out since Alfie Boe went into it)?

If anyone can advise how the lines have been lately for Something Rotten, The Color Purple and Disaster! as well I'd be grateful.

I arrived a little after 8 on a Saturday for Shuffle Along and was 12th in line. Not the best position, but I did end up getting a ticket just fine. By the time the box office opened, however, there were at least 25 people in line and most of them didn't get tickets. It will probably be a little less crowded on a Wednesday, but to ensure your safety in getting tickets, I really wouldn't recommend getting there later than 8:30.

Typically, when arriving at the Lunt-Fontanne around 10:15, I've been able to get tickets just fine, so your odds of getting tickets to both the shows you want are pretty good. Not sure if Neverland does SRO, though.

The Color Purple has a pretty popular rush, and most people I know try to get there around 8 to be safe. Something Rotten and Disaster are quite a bit easier, I think, but I've never rushed either so I'm not completely sure.

I rushed Finding Neverland about six weeks ago.  I got there about 9:45am and was able to get a great seat. Couple things to keep in mind for Finding Neverland, cash only and only one ticket per person.   Since it's only one ticket per person you may have a good chance of getting one, even after 10am.

I rushed Finding Neverland about 6 weeks ago and arrived to the Box Office about 11:30. I received a great seat, Orch on the aisle. A patron walked in after me and also received a great seat.

Thanks for the replies - I'm reassured that I should be able to get a ticket for Finding Neverland without too much hassle.

I'll aim to get to the Music Box around 8.00am as well, hope that it's not too crowded for me to get a single ticket.

If anyone has any other rush info / recommendations, please feel free to enlighten me... smiley

Be aware that Shuffle Along originally announced that they were only offering rush for previews and the opening night is April 28 and people have reported that they got word from the box office when the show is sold out they will sell standing room after opening.     The Color Purple, especially since you're coming right before Jennifer leaves, you're going to want to get there no later than 7 am.  They also sell standing room when they sell out.  I got it  for this past Saturday matinee an hour before the show.  I had been watching the tickets go on telecharge and assumed I had a good shot of getting one at that time but if they're sold out before box office opening they will sell to people in line after they sell all the rush.  The standing room seemed like a much better view than the boxes.  Something Rotten an hour before should be sufficient and Disaster and Finding Neverland you should be able to grab one at any time of the day before the performance.

Something Rotten didn't work for me 1-2 hours before the show on a weekend fairly recently, but if you go somewhat early in the day you should be fine.

Color Purple I got to the BO around 9am on a Wednesdays and got the last evening performance rush seat, a box with pretty bad view. So do try to get there earlier, I think the boxes are generally ok, I just had the worst seat.

Disaster should be easy.

Thanks for the info about Neverland! Nobody replied in the shows rush topic and I've been wanting to go back!
