My friend and I are planning to go up and see a few shows on Satuday December 30th. How hard is it to get rush tickets around the holidays? We're planning to see RENT and Company, and if we don't get tickets for either of those, Avenue Q or the Producers. I've never tried to get tickets through rush, especially around the holidays. Also, do you think it would be busier at the matinee or at night? If anyone can help, I'd be super appreciative.

I was also wondering what rush is like in early to mid-December...

RENT and Q are lottos, not rushes- last year pretty much all lottos were super crowded from mid November to early January.

Lottos will be PACKED! Especially on weekends. This is what I can remember from last year. Last year the Producers suspended rush during Christmas week. And from what Ive been reading and hearing I dont think Company will have rush (correct me if Im wrong), so you might be better off buying the $36 balcony in advance. You might want to think of a few more back up shows that would be easier to rush. Wedding Singer, The Grinch, Martin Short come to mind. In the play arena Little Dog, Jay Johnson.

Hope this help.

"Have they come yet?"

Ah. I'll definitely consider getting the tickets for Company. Supposedly they do have a rush, though.
