Hi.

I've got a question which I desperately need a quick answer to, from someone with experiance.

I know there are sites that list student rush ticket deals, but I find sometimes when I go to the theatres I can't get the tickets I want. So, my big question, is which shows am I most likely to be able to get into on a Friday evening for under thirty dollars? How early should I get to the theatre?

Thanks a lot!

Yonah

I have never had a problem getting student rush tickets, but I usually try to get to the box office around when it opens. The early you get there the more likely you are to get a seat.

As a general rule, Yonah, don't try shows that had above 90% capacity in the previous few weeks, except maybe at an off-time like Tuesday night. Shows in the 80s can be risky, too. Just look up the numbers on Playbill- if you go to shows that don't sell well you'll get better seats, and often a great performance, too.
