I was wondering how high my chances of winning the rush ticket lottery for:
DRS
Wicked
I dont' know how many people show up for the lotteries, so I wanted to know my chances before I got there. Thanks in advance!

DRS = reasonably easy
Wicked = nearly impossible
Wicked had at LEAST 150-200 people there last Wednesday night. I can't even image it on a Friday or Saturday. Just a huge mob, which also goes for the Spelling Bee lottery right after that, making that one equally hard to win.
I won the DRS lottery the next day and I'd say there were about 40-50 people there for 21 seats. I walked by on my way to dinner Saturday night and the crowd seemed only slightly bigger, maybe 60 or so. A really great opportunity and the front row seats there are great because the stage isn't too high and there's no obtructed view - even on the extreme sides you can still see the entire stage.

DRS is not resonably easy. I've tried 3 times and lost each time.

The DRS lottery is not a walk in the park (I did it twice before winning) however, it can't be compared to the Wicked lottery, which is always a zoo.
Still, up to 100 people can show up for a DRS lottery, depending on the night and all that.

I think weekdays at DRS are a walk in the park. If you show up with a group of people I think you're definitely more likely to get in. Quite honestly, I've never actually *won* lotto, but my companion has always gotten in (and me, by default).
If you're looking for help, drop me a line. I'm fairly local. If I can get out of work early enough, I'll drop my name in. If I win, the tickets are yours. (Or, if you need a companion, I'll see the show with you.)
Wicked? I've done it at least 10 times with groups of 10 or more lottoing for 2 tickets. We've never won. (I did, however, win once on "Wicked Day" last year, which exhausted all my good-lotto karma for a while.)

Posted: 7/4/05 at 2:55pmI got so lucky with WICKED lotto. My friend tried 10 times and always lost. I tried once and won!!! I was so excited, thus my third viewing was interesitng because you could see Shoshana get into her flying thing and how shes not near the black cape.

Thanks broadwaymel... I might take you up on your offer to increase my chances of getting a ticket. I am going to NYC with my sister, so I would be seeing the Broadway show with her, but thanks for that portion of the offer.
I appreciate it a lot... --korenglish

Posted: 7/4/05 at 7:51pmI would reccommend DRS because it seems you are going to have more of a chance to see it with the lottery. Also, you can see Wicked on the tour if you can't see it on Broadway.
