I am going to rush the Wedding Singer for Saturday night's performance, can I stand on line at 8 am to get tickets for the night, does anyone know when they go on sale? It it an all day thing?? Tell me it is because I am gonna be on the line for Jersey Boys waaaaaayy early for the 2 pm showing.
I am pretty sure you need to be on line at Jersey Boys very early to get a rush seat for the matinee. Like 7:30 or so. TWS box office doesn't even open until 10:00. You are better off rushing JB then heading to Wedding Singer at 11:30 to get a rush seat for the night show (if they sell them that early)

You will be fine if you get to the Wedding Singer theatre late for rush. They have PLENTY of rush seats and considering it is a two-show day, I'm sure you will have no trouble. Have fun.
Last Wednesday I rushed Jersey Boys for the matinee (got the ticket at 11) then headed over to TWS and got a rush ticket for the night show. I got there around 11:30 and I still got second row orchestra on the right side, great seats!! That would be your best bet, considering for Jersey Boys you will probably need to be on line by 7:30-8:00 at the latest.
I am getting to NYC around 5:30 in the morning, where I plan to park the car in Queens and take the subway over there and start waiting for Jersey Boys. I was gonna have my kid sister waiting in the Wedding Singer line for tickets but I wasn't sure when they started selling for the night show. It would be an amazing day to see both of these. Do they sell tickets for TWS all day long for both performances? Again, thanks for your help!! I wish I had time to do another round at Spelling Bee. Oh well, there is always next week lol! haha Thanks again guys!
You won't have trouble getting rush tickets for TWS ever, because they rarely, if ever, sell out and keep selling whatevers left over to students.
Just make sure you have a student ID for whoever is getting the tickets for you.
Rushed it this morning, there were two girls in front of me who had 5 ID's (from people who weren't there) and wanted 10 tickets.
10????
They were dismayed to hear that everyone HAD to be PRESENT with their ID to get tickets.
I was releived that the box office didn't bend - their father was standing there going "THE OTHER GIRLS HAVE TO WORK!" and the box office lady was like "tough..."
Question about TWS: If my friends and I get to the theatre at about 6:30 for a 7:00 show (we have to work until 6), would there still be student tickets available and would they still sell us tickets that late?
How good are the seats? If I shouted "Laura Benanti, you rock my world. Your vibrato puts Patti to shame." do you think she'd hear?

That depends on if she is doing the show. She has only been doing 1 show a week as of late, and its been one of the afternoon shows.
But the seats are in the 1st few rows of orch (right and left of center). Have a great time!
