This is a beautiful video. Although I've only seen one show up there, I've had many friends who have worked there and adore it. It would be such a shame to see it have to close it's doors after 55 years. Good job AKB!

Hehe, anyone else notice at 0:20 that the person in the wheel chair is wearing a shirt that says "Totes." Sorry, just caught my eye and made me laugh to myself in an otherwise sad video.
Thanks for posting this video. I saw their production of "Hairspray" a few years back and it was wonderful! It would be a tragedy if this place closed.

I have a possibly stupid question that I just thought of after watching the video (and this isn't only for NSMT but for all donations to theatre and other needy organizations as well):
What happens if someone donates money but the theatre closes? I can't imagine you would get your money back but the money won't be going towards a production or costs of running the theatre, does it just go to the "theatre heads" (Exec. Dir, Art. Dir...)? How does that work?

Posted: 1/6/09 at 4:13pmAny money they have now would go to pay back their creditors for the loans they took out after the Fire back in 2005, which they're still in debt for. The 1/2 a million they need by the time HSM2 closes is merely to keep the heat on in the building to keep the pipes from freezing so they can have a next season

Posted: 1/6/09 at 4:20pmI guess I was asking about the approx. 4 million by the spring. What if they raise 2 million? They won't have enough for a season, they will close and the 2 million will go...?

I loved that video. We miss you in HSM2, AKB!
Bwaha! The staff dancing was a great addition.
