Hi ive just found out about this new musical (i live in UK) and it looks really cool (i love 'notice me, horton', 'alone in the universe', 'people versus horton the elephant' - espec "everyone riiiiiseee by the court marshal! - , and 'it's possible'), could anyone give me more info?? for eg how was it staged - like with the whos being smaller than everyone else? and i read something about funky choreography? also could anyone provide a general outline of the plot? - it's quite hard to decipher from the crazy (but brilliant) lyrics on the obc cd!!!! oh yeh and i also read something about it being changed from the broadway version to the current version - anyone know anything abou that???? Thanks! Updated On: 2/7/05 at 10:14 AM

I'm not sure how it was originally staged but I worked on a production of this just last Sep to Nov. It is a fabulous show. We staged it to where the who's were never intermingled with the rest of the cast, they were always off to the side and downstage when the rest of the cast was on (which was rare that whos were on with the rest of the cast)..

"Someday I'm going to have a baby and I'm gonna name her L'il Mimi Marquez and I and will sing to her every day and when she's a toddler I will say "L'il Mimi Marquez, clad only in a bubble diaper, will perform her famous play pen handcuff dance to the sounds of breast milk being pumped!" ~Kringas

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
