I have a question. I want to suscribe to SHOW PEOPLE. Does anyone know if I will get the Winter Issue or if I will have to wait for the next issue?

Thanks in advance!

Why would you want this magazine? It's the most superficial piece of garbage available.

Never heard of it. But, that doesn't mean much.

It's not a great magazine, but it does sometimes have some nice stories. If you subscribe now, you will probably not get the Winter issue. They would probably start with the Spring (which is a shame because the winter issue was the first one in a year that I really enjoyed- I think I actually read every article).

Yeah, I don't love them, it seems they make fun at a lot of Broadway fans and performers. SOmetimes they're downright mean. Some stories are good though, and i'll admit, I mostly read magazines for the pictures!

So, it's a theatre magazine? Are there any others that you would recommend?

I get it for free because I have season tickets for Broadway Across America. I haven't read any other Broadway magazines to compare it with, but I've read some good profiles and the pictures are nice. Just ask Beacon! re: SHOW PEOPLE

Yeah, I just wanted the Winter Issue because Patrick Wilson is on the cover.

It kind of depresses me that its a bad magazine re: SHOW PEOPLE

I subscribe to this magazine and end up receiving the issues VERY LATE, every time. The Patrick Wilson issue? Check the date of that thread that shameless sent you and then realize that I just received that issue last Friday afternoon.

I continue to subscribe in the hope that one day, an issue will come out that includes more than just one or two interviews and pages of "updates" that are already outdated by the time the issue gets to me. The Neil Simon interview in this issue made him sound rude and dis-interested. The Patrick Wilson photos were great, but the accompanying article was not. And the two page spread on costume ideas? Hello? Halloween was over months ago.

Here's a link to their site; I checked around to see if you could purchase one issue, but didn't find anything. Take a look:

Yes, I believe you can purchase just one issue by contacting them directly.

Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

yeah, where do you live justme2? I had a year subscription but I never got the issues until they were old news, so there was no need for me to read anything.

beacon1 is correct, you can get back issues if you coutact the magazine directly through their web site. I was able to get an extra copy of the Spring 05 issue after I bought the last couple copies that Triton Gallery had in stock for friends.

rentboy, I live in SF out here in CA. I swear, when I got this issue and saw the Costume Ideas spread, I laughed out loud.
