What has been the best method of singing technique for you?
My vocal coach teaches me in a very free way and doesn't support the Estill Technique as he says it's just labeling sounds already heard when singing freely with emotion
he also says that belting is a horrible sound (which I don't agree with) but is extremely damaging to the voice and most musical theatre performers are being shipped in and out within a year, as they wreck there voice in the process due to unhealthy singing.
There is support of course, but how do we know we are supporting effectively before we make these sounds..
