Last week I got the video of Sunday in the Park with George from my library and watched it. I absolutely loved it. I though it was very good and intersting and the performances were amazing. But my question is, did they make revisons in the show to film it? Because I remember some people saying that the second act dr gged on, while it seemed to me the second act was shorter. Does anyone know why?

The video is word-for-word the same as the original script.
My one complaint is that the colors of the sets and costumes seemed dull on the video. Everything looked more viabrant in person. I don't know if this was a matter of changing the lighting for video or just adjusting camera setings.

Posted: 5/20/06 at 12:46amIt's called the 1980's. Cameras just weren't as sophisticated then I think even though it was only 20 years. It was hard to get that vibrant color when you're filming a live theatreical event. And as the the second act complaint people have, I think it's bullcrap. I think the second act is generally the whole point of the piece.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
