Posted: 11/21/04 at 12:12amWell, there is a movie called Smile with Bruce Dern, that may sort of be a take off of musical. But it certainly does not have Disneyland in it. I suffered through watching it tonight just wanting to hear "Disneyland" which I think is a great song. I wonder if Melanie Griffith is embarassed that she had even a small role in movie. Like you, I would love to know more about musical.

Posted: 11/21/04 at 4:55pmmomto- i dont know who owns the rights, i think its mti, but i'm sure you can find out online. the entire score has never been recorded. there are three songs from the show that are on the CD "Unsung Musicals" that is the best way to get ahold of any music from the show.

The show ran only a few weeks late 1986-early 1987 - I believe it was based on the movie. I had planned to go see it at the time, but it closed before I got the chance. It starred Jodi Benson, Anne Marie Bobby, Marsha Waterbury, Veanne Cox - can't remember who else, but I'm sure that information is available somewhere online.
