i flat out hated "find your grail" until i saw the performance at the tony's so i agree that the music is aided highly by the visual. The only song i find myself listening to with any frequency is "i'm all alone" although it does....much like everything else in the show go on for too long

The reason that alot of people don't like the OBCR is because when you hear the songs on the cd, alot of them have a serious tone so you think that the songs are serious, but when you see the show and see each song done, they're performed in traditional Python(silly, and funny).
I also would like to say that if you don't like SpamAlot, that's fine but don't go around saying it's crap and it sucks.
Lighten up, you're supposed to be entertain, you're not watching a show to review it, you're just watching it to be entertained. All of you who hate SpamAlot, have to come to the realization, that Spam unlike some other shows that are currently running on Broadway is going to be there for a long, long, long, time.

ok, yeah the OCR isn't that brilliant. I only heard it after watching the show. And of course, i loved it. The visuals really help a lot.
Also, I think the main reason why Spamalot won is because the producers turned a huge cult film into a musical. I think that would be a hard thing to do, but after seeing it, it was pretty good. But if you haven't seen it and have just heard the music, it can be a bit weird. But I advise to see the show before you decide that you hate it just because of the music. I did the same thing with DRS. I just heard 30 seconds of each song and didn't really like it. But when Isaw it, I loved it and after that, I always imagine what goes on when i listen to the OCR. And now, DRS has become my 3rd favorite show.
