Posted: 1/3/05 at 7:28pmWoohoo! I just got my tickets for Spamalot on Feb. 17th! I am so excited as I have never seen an original cast perform before. It'll be in previews, but I am sure it'll be great! Anyone else gonna be there?

Posted: 1/3/05 at 8:39pmThere's nothing like seeing an origional cast performance, especially for a sure fire hit like Spamalot. You'll be able to follow the reviews, and then the Tony noms and awards, and so on. I'll see it a few weeks after opening and can't wait. Enjoy it!

Posted: 1/4/05 at 2:22amI know what you mean! My friend saw the original cast of Urinetown before it went to broadway and he was rooting for it to win the Tonys like a crazy fan rooting for his team to win the Superbowl or something. I am also going to try to catch "Little Women" while I am in New York, but those tickets seem a little easier to get right now. But Spamalot is selling pretty crazy, I'm stuck in the back corner of the orchestra level.

Posted: 1/4/05 at 2:41amIt's not bad to see a show in previews though right? Like they don't stop the show in the middle or anything right? I won't be in New York when it opens so that week of February is the only option I have.

nah, its usually just that theyre still trying new things so what you see might not be the final product. other than that the worst thing ive heard of is a longer intermission if the sets are particularly complicated and the timing hasnt been worked out yet.

I'll be there on March 3. It'll still be previews then as well. I'm really excited!
Does anyone know if Tim Curry or the rest of the cast will sign autographs? Is there a place at the Shubert in NYC to wait for them to go in or come out? This will be my first time at that theatre.

Posted: 1/4/05 at 5:28pmYes there is a place to wait for the cast in NYC. It is called Shubert Alley. It is the most famous alley in the city. It is completely lined with giant show posters. There is a big freakin' gold door that says "Shubert Theatre Stage Door" It aint exactly hard to find.
