Make sure to Tivo the CW 11 Morning News Wed 1/10 at 8:55 am. Cast will perform two songs live!
At 5 pm later that day, cast will perform two songs (including Totally F*cked) at Virgin MegaStore's CD signing, Times Sq, with Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater.
Go Spring Awakening!

Before I clicked on the thread, I was about to be a really bad smartass and say that tomorrow is Wednesday, and most shows perform twice.
Shilly shilly bo billy.
Wow, busy day for them, all that AND two performances.
(chuckle) I didn't even think about that, DancingThruLife.
I shall take greater care in my wording of threads from now on.
Who's going to the CD signing?

SA does regularly not perform Wed. matinees, only added a few during holiday weeks.

Actually, they don't perform on Wednesday afternoon, I guess the producers feel it's not really a blue-hair show. They do 5 performances over the weekend instead - Friday night, 2 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday.
I might be going to the CD signing. Depends on how much homework I get.

Well, that and some cast members have school on Wednesday afternoon...
School age performers have tutors for missed classroom hours due to mid-week matinees.
I'll be at the signing!
P.S. Bobby Maler, you're the best.
"P.S. Bobby Maler, you're the best."
hahaha... looks so nasty in those khakis.
Spring Awakening had Saturday and Sunday matinées.
Giggle...I love musical theatre humour :)
and this will be the same CW 11 News that I will get in Illinois?
I hope so... I love this show...
Aw, I'll miss it when they're going to be on the CW11

Watching the first (if I can wake up) and hopefully going to the CD signing after work! I would just stage door, but the chances of Sater and Sheik being there are slim.

Just watched the performance; it was good. A bit pitchy, but who can fault them? It's so freakin' early! They're only interviewing Lea Michele, John Gallagher Jr., and Jonathan Groff.
They performed "Song of Purple Summer" and "Touch Me," though they cut the latter off in the middle of the first verse. Not cool.

the woman who interviewed the cas really helped the box office.
"spring awakening the teen sex and suicide musical"
hilarious
the abrupt ending to touch me sucks because IMO its a better song to sell the show rather than purple summer
however the performances were good. the woman who interviewed not so much
Why does the signing have to be on a Wednesday? If it was Friday or Saturday I would totally be there. This sucks.

I was laughing fpr like a minute when I read that! Any chances of this going online?
i sure hope so. i am glad they finally did something though to promote it. i was in the city on Saturday going to see Drowsy and right outside these people were promoting SA but they were just handing out flyer's so i was screaming go see SA its amazing. and i wear my shirt as much as possible to help promote it.
OMG I like YELLED when they cut off Touch Me...
I was so into that, and they just took it away....gah.

it makes me sad that while I was taking my spanish 4 final, the cast of spring awakening was on tv. Because obviously, I missed it
I want to seeee! did they do just a really quick interview with lea, john, and jon or was it decent? because if it was a decent intervew- that is very cool! I def was looking forward to interviews and such, and they're all so adorable and probably interview really well :P

I thought the performances were great. I was very upset that they cut off Skylar at the end. "Where I go, when I"...commercial.
They had annoying little popups at the bottom of the screen that actually said "Being touted as the next RENT." and "Steven Speilberg took his family to see this show." Stephen Spinella and Christine Estabrook were not there, and Robert Hager was there for Jonathan B. Wright. Everyone else was present. I'm sure it will be online later.
