Posted: 1/4/05 at 1:31pmI just want to reitterate my fustration. I have tried the lotto for Wicked over 30 times and still have yet to get a ticket. At this rate, I'll never see the show.

Ha. didnt even know u had one. Are you offering? PVT me?
Seriously though, I've given up. Its sad. Tourists win all the time... and old ladies with fur coats who can obviously buy tickets. Once this family got like 3 cards drawn. I'll never forget them, their last name was Molesta.

Posted: 1/4/05 at 1:46pmPerhaps you'll have better luck during this month and next (if you live in town). Just wait for the first big snow storm and head over to the Gershwin -- there'll be plenty of seats available.

Posted: 1/4/05 at 2:20pmMimi! I should tell everyone that Mimi is a lovely movie date (even though he abandoned me after the credits arrived.)
#8re: STILL havent seen Wicked.
Posted: 1/4/05 at 3:01pmive played the lotto 6 times with no win. so your not the only unlucky one.

Posted: 1/4/05 at 3:53pmI've only done it twice and lost. If you are really desperate to see it and are willing to pay $100, do cancellation. It works. I did it for the first time last week and I got great seats-- 4 together! Just don't do it on the 9th because people will be camping out.

Posted: 1/4/05 at 3:55pmI'm curious as to what time people will start lining up at the Gershwin on the 9th. I MAY be able to get up to the city in time to catch Idina one last time. I was considering doing the line with a friend since ticketmaster sucks and brokers suck. And as far as the lottery, I'd have to be nonchalant about it since you can't really expect to win. I'd try it only if I had nothing better to do rather than being desperate as all hell to nab some tickets.

Posted: 1/4/05 at 3:55pm...or just keep trying Ticketmaster. =)
#12re: STILL havent seen Wicked.
Posted: 1/4/05 at 3:57pmI'm sure people will camp out. If not, people will be there before 6:00 AM. Lottery will be crazy. Probably over 1500! Don't get caught doing both though.

No, no Lottery! I'll try that next year when I'm a poor college student.
But as for camping out. I was thinking about getting there around 7am. haha. Not early enough?

Posted: 1/4/05 at 4:01pmCan't even imagine both lines!! ahhh! I tried the lotto twice and won once. On the 9th, I think they said about 1200 people for Cheno's last so for Idina's last and considering it was the holidays just last week, I expect around 1500. Wow. Cancellation line proably around 50. It wont go past 50 because the chances of 50 people cancelling is really impossible

1500 people for 28 tickets? That's insane.
CANCELLATION LINE IS THE WAY TO GO.

Posted: 1/4/05 at 4:08pmFor Kristin's last, there was a short line just after 5am, I believe.

Who the hell knows?
I did hear that people were planning to get there Saturday night and stay over in front of the Gershwin. NO idea if they'll follow through, or if security'll let them stay.

Oh to be rich so I could just buy the stinkin' tickets from a broker.

Who in the right mind would cancel Idina's last show though?
There are gonna be like 8 cancellation tickets tops i bet.

Posted: 1/4/05 at 4:19pmPeople who don't give a rat's arse who Idina Menzel is. Most of the people that see that show, know nothing about her or anyone else in the cast. I heard a while back that there were less than 10 tickets released to Cheno's last.

Yes, I did abandon you, for my sick friend who was in the emergency room while i went to the movies. I had a blast, even if there were annoying kids in the theatre.
As far as the lotto, I guess I'll wait till it snows. Yes, I live in town on 47th st. I tried that last winter and had no luck- then again the show was still fresh....
