Posted: 6/10/05 at 1:31pmSo Earnie Sabella is said to be "suddenly" leaving Sweet Charity tonight with Rob Barlett starting performances TOMORROW. Does anyone think Rob Barlett had a heads up on this? I mean, no one knew Sabella was leaving, so does anyone think today was Barletts only day to learn the role? Thats REALLY hard! Anyone know more details?

"A production spokesperson said that Sabella's departure date was in his original contract."
No big mystery. He chose not to re-sign, probably to join his best friend Nathan in THE ODD COUPLE.
There is still one more role left for him - Oscars accountant.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Yeah, I'm friends with Rob and when I congratulated him on his role in Odd Couple he told me about Charity so he's known for a bit. I always thought it was strange that it wasn't announced until, well, now but I haven't asked for any details yet.
And Master - It's funny you say Odd Couple since Rob is leaving Charity when Odd Couple starts for his own part in the show.

I started jumping up and down when I saw that Rob was coming into the company. I'm VERY jazzed about this. I just might have to sit through SC to see him
