Why isn't she working on Broadway again or in film? It's so sad to see her doing those prescription drug commercials. I know work is work and all but I'd like to see her back on Broadway.

Maybe she doesn't feel like it?

I have a a feeling that she's not desperate for an offer - she's probably getting many. For whatever reason, she obviously isn't interested right now.

I saw her on Ellen and she said she was lookin for a play and wanted to concentrate on theatre

I just saw her in a national commercial for osteoporosis a few days ago.

She's all curled up on a couch, smiling.

Why feel bad? She doesn't HAVE to do those commercials - she's hardly starving. I'm sure she's pulling in a boatload of cash for them.

Stars do stuff like this all the time. Both Carol Burnett and Whoopi Goldberg have done Entenmann's Baked Good commercials.

Don't forget all of the Lauren Bacall commercials: Fancy Feast Cat Food, Tuesday Morning stores, a new financial commercial (insurance or banking or something). It takes a lot of cash to live in The Dakota.

Colleen Dewhurst used to be the commercial voice-over queen a few decades ago.

That honor goes to Lauren Bacall and Linda Hunt for the past 15 years.

I think she does those commercials because she suffers from osteoporosis and is making it a priority. (I am sure she is paid well, too) but I wouldn't be surprised if she donated her salary to research and treatment. She isn't just shilling cat food.
