yeah! I'm from the san Jose area, and the theater down here is great too-- AMT SJ and Theatreworks, as previously mentioned.
Fun places in SF I like to go:
the Pier (lots of fun shopping and good food)
Japanese Tea Garden (beautiful scenery, really relaxing and good tea)
SF Zoo (what can I say? animals are fun)
Of course the Haight-Ashbury area...amoeba records, all the clothing stores there...really quite fun to go to.
