The Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts, whose alumni include Tony winner Lena Hall and Oscar winner Sam Rockwell, has just put out a video tribute to the late Aretha Franklin. It features the school's World Music students and teachers moving and grooving to her classic hit ''Respect.''
Full disclosure: The video was produced and directed by Robert A. Wong (a 17-year-old senior and my nephew). It's his very first video, and for you film buffs, it was done as one remarkable tracking shot on his teacher Monina Sen Cervone's iPhone.
