Well.....I went to by SPAMALOT today....and..........I LOVE IT...I like every song and its so funny. Sarah is amazing..where has she been..her voice is sooooo good. Much Praise to her and I hope she gets a TONY...well deserved in my opinion.
She would make a good Elphaba.......sorry but she would.

Don't get me started on Sara because I'll never stop...I LOVE HER. And I hope she doesn't lower herself to do Elphaba. Not that it's a bad role, but she shouldn't be a replacement right now. Hopefully she'll win the TONY...she deserves it. And she'll move on to originate another lead role. The last thing she needs to do is sign on to WICKED.

No, I'm going to marry her! We're going to San Fran after the Tonys! I've gone to Spam three times and fall in love with her more and more each time. She sounds absolutley heavenly on the Spam obcr, I can't get enough!
I spoke to her breifly after a Sunday matinee and told her how fabulous she is and how she needs to have her own cd. I've been so desperate for more Sara music and I've found a few cds if any of you are interested.
She sings "colors of the wind" on the Stephen Schwartz album. I've only heard the 30 second clip on Amazon but she sounds great. I'm still waiting for my copy in the mail.
I also found "Cric? Crac! A Magical Musical Fable". It's a cast album, I think, and she's one of the three names in large print but only sings one song called "could it be?"-again, she sounds gorgeous! I just got my copy today!
She's also a member of the Broadway Inspirational Voices and is on their "Great Joy" cd along with Michael McElroy, Gavin Creel, and others. It's a Christmas cd but I'm gonna have me some Christmas tunes in May!
And I probably won't be able to hear her, but I think she's also on the Dreamgirls concert cd.
I had to dig a bit to find these so maybe there are more out there. I wonder why she didn't put any of these in her bio? I haven't seen Piazza yet but I really hope that Sara wins the Tony.

I knew that but I there aren't any obcr's with her in those shows. I just listed those in case anyone was interested in buying them. I don't know if she's one of the female singers on the Capeman cds I found on Amazon.
I might be able to see her in Capeman! *devilish grin*

broadway betty, Sara does indeed sing one or two duets with Paul Simon on his "Songs from The Capeman" CD. It's an interesting CD to have and she sounds like butta on it. Get it!
I HATE that they never released the Capeman OCR. I'm tempted to do the ebay thing for that one. It was such an interesting score. No, it didn't really work theatrically, but it was just so refreshing to hear such a different style in a Broadway musical.

I have the original release so I'm afraid I can't comment on the remastered version.
I hope you like it. It's not a CD that I've played many times but I enjoyed a lot of things about it - including Sara, of course. I'm rather fond of "Time is an Ocean" and especially "Trailways Bus" which is the track Sara is on if memory serves (unfortunately, the song was cut in previews which pissed me off because it was my favorite song on the original album). Actually, "Trailways Bus" may be the only track that Sara is on on the Simon CD. Most of the material she sang in the show isn't on it. All of her material (which wasn't a lot, maybe three songs) was recorded for the OCR which Tony voters received that year. Unfortunately, I wasn't a Tony voter. I wish Simon would get over whatever his issues are and let the rest of us get a chance to hear it! There was some really cool stuff in the show that was recorded but has never made it out to the general public.
