Does anyone have this cast recording? I'm doing a project about Sondheim and one of the musicals I'm using needs to be more recent but not a revival. So, if anyone has this can they PM me? Or if anyone can think of another recent musical of his that might be easier to find...thanks.

Though recent, Saturday Night was written in his early composing days. So it may not qualify as a "recent work". It world premiered recently but was written before any of his success.

I have a recording called Unsung Sondheim which has several numbers from that show. I don't know if the recording is still available though. I bought it about 8-10 years ago.

There are London and Off-Broadway recordings of the entire score.

I have Saturday Night, but as has been said... it's really an early work, not a recent one. I'd go with Assassins... it premiered Off-Broadway in 1991, which is about as recent as you're going to get (unless you want to do Bounce, which I DON'T SUGGEST). The Frogs would work, but the version that was just on Broadway was an extention of the one act musical he wrote in 1974, so it's a mix of older and newer.
