I Love this Song!! I saw Cara Cooper sing this but really want to hear Amy Spanger's version of the song any ideas where? and can anyone who saw both performers describe the differences in performances

I thought Cara Was Great! she didn't seem like an understudy at all and sang witha a great belt! PS does anybody know if there are any clips of amy singing this song?

Well, you'll hear it when the CD comes out, but I don't think anytime before that. Unless you have the sample CD.

Someone posted that "Saturday Night In The City" was on one of the demo cd's released, they were going to post them all but only posted "It's Your Wedding Day" So it is out there somewhere, who's going to be the hero? And keep us sane until June 6th!!!

BTW just got back from seeing the show on broadway, after seeing it 4 times in Seattle, all I have to say is WOW! It's practically a whole new show now, I was amazed at how many changes happened, some good, some bad, but still the best musical I have seen! Getting my picture taken with Amy and Stephen didn't hurt either! =)))

I've heard both and when I heard Amy's understudy she didn't belt that key changing note (which was my favorite part of the entire musical)--she tried to mix it but it came out strangely--great dancer, though.

I didn't see Cara (but I'm sure she was wonderful). Amy, however, rocked my world. I knew she could sing, but I had no idea she was such an amazing dancer. But I suppose the only thing I've seen her onstage in was ttB. So...

Amy gave me chills during that song! Her dancing and singing is fierce. She got a louder ovation at the curtain call than Laura too last night.

Poor Laura.

When I saw the show, everybody flipped for Amy during curtain call, and not so much for Laura. At the stagedoor afterwards, everybody clapped and cheered for Laura, and Amy came out almost unnoticed.

Oh yeah, Amy came out completely unnoticed last night. I was one of the only people to say, "Oh wow! Amy!" considering she was the one I was waiting for. She's such a sweetheart though.

Okay, so I've finally seen both Amy AND Cara.

Cara was un-be-lievable! Seriously. She has a fantastic voice, and is such a great dancer. My only issue was that she seemed like she was trying to "channel" Amy in some spots, which she does NOT need to do, because she's freaking amazing herself.
