The Battersea Barge, one of Londons only remaining free to rent perofrmance venues is under threat from developers who are trying to re-build all around the tideway village, but have no plans to re-house nor re-build The Battersea Barge.
Love or hate the Barge, we do not deserve to have this venue taken away from us. For those who don't know much about it, it is a small scale cabaret style venue which artists can hire for free to house their own productions. It often keeps alot of out of work actors in a little bit of pocket (myself included) by lending its services for free so long as you can guarantee a basic audience who will cover costs through spends at the bar.
It has seen some rather impressive names play there in the past, and with your help can continue to do so in the future.
It is under huge threat and I urge you, a fan or not to please sign the petition from the link below and help save this venue.
Thanks!
