I'm hoping to get down to NYC during the run of "Saved" and just wanted to get a consensus as to whether it might be at TKTS. Is is such a short run and hot ticket than that's highly unlikely? Or does Playwright Horizons poo-poo that entirely. The only discount code I've been able to find is for three performances.

As for "Equus," I realize I'm probably going to have to go full price on this, given the publicity and demand, but is it likely to have any dicounts now that the tickets have gone on sale? I checked for three separate Saturday matinees in September and October and there are still a lot of orchestra (as close as rows F, K and L)and front mezzanine seats (front row) available...have they overestimated its appeal since I though the combination of play and Daniel Radcliffe would men fairly instant sellout?

Thanks for any opinions and info.

For SAVED, the code SVTC expires TOMORROW! It will get you $10 off per ticket. Buy them now. It WILL sell out in advance. It WON'T be on TKTS.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Is the playwrights horizon website not working for anyone else?

Chinkie, I had the same problem yesterday but I thought it was just my computer! I couldn't buy tickets on-line so I guess I will be calling...

It hasn't been working for me all day.

"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
