Okay, I know there are tons of audition help posts, but I haven't seen one about duo scenes. I was given a very long list of plays that my scene partner and I can do scenes from. I'm obviously going to read the shows to pick scenes, but I'd love it if you guys could suggest some I should look into first, or steer me clear of wasting my time with something that's horrible. I'll post some from the list that catch my attention (I don't want to post the whole thing) but really we can do scenes from any show. I'm 19 and female, and my scene partner is male and either 18 or 19, not sure.
Proof-David Auburn
Beyond Therapy-Christopher Durang
Knock, Knock: a play-Jules Feiffer
The American Plan-Richard Greenberg
Rich and Famous-John Guare
Bits and Pieces-Corinne Jacker
End of the World-Arthur Kopit
Angels in America-Tony Kushner
This is Your Life-Kenneth Lonnergan
It's Only a Play: a comedy-Terrence McNally
Children of a Lesser God-Mark Howard Medoff
Buried Child-Sam Shepard
And tons of others, but those are just a few that I'd heard of (or at least the author.)
Thanks in advance!!!

The Lonergan play is "This Is Our Youth." There's an extended M/F scene in it.
There's a couple of great M/F scenes in "Proof."
The opening scene in "Beyond Therapy" is M/F and very very funny.
The Harper-Prior Scenes in Angels are also great.

Angels has amazing material but a lot of it (particularly the Harper-Joe scene) are done quite often - so if it's for a competition or anything, I'd avoid that. If it's for class, I say go with this cause you'll learn a lot - very challenging.
The Beyond Therapy scene someone suggested is also good. The only trick to that is that it's Durang - which always seems so easy to grasp, but I did that scene for a class and found it really hard to 'punch' Durang.
There's a great unknown show called The Materati - amazingly hysterical m/f scenes in it if you're looking for funny. Plus the play's so funny it's such an easy read.
Proof has good stuff too but the conflict and stakes aren't as high so they're very conversational, not much action. Plus I'd imagine that nowadays they're done pretty often, so again if competing with it, go with something else. If not - read it, see if you like it.
Buried Child - hard stuff. If it's for a learning purpose, another good one to look at.

Thanks guys! Yeah, it's for a class, not competition.
Edit: And I bow down to you both for your superior knowledge... You never cease to amaze me Margo.
