Do you think that lead actors in very long runs remember all their lines in shows they've done years ago?
I guess some do, and some don't. it depends on the actor and the memory. I wouldn't.
It's hard to say, I still clearly remember monolougues , and portions of some shows I did in High School, and I graduated 10 years ago. I think it depends on how much the show or character means to the actor.
I'm also coming out of semi-retirement as a magician for a show next week and I was surprised how much of my old kid-show routines came right back to me when I started rehearsing.

When I saw Rent 10, the OBC actors seemed to have a pretty good memory. (Even those not in the movie.) They were given scripts to read, but didn't seem to need them that much. Christmas Bells seemed to be the hardest, but that is a confusing song just to listen to!

I think once something is in your mind it never really goes away, but of course if its been years you can expect them to know it perfectly..lol..but I gues it really depends on the perfomer.
