Script Publishing Question

With Gary closing soon, it got me thinking of really wanting to buy the script of the show. I doubt it will be able to bought for awhile, but how long does a normal script take from premiering to being published, especially for shows that premiere on Broadway? Like for example Mac's last play, Hir, was published not long after it's premiere Playwrights Horizons, but that was off-Broadway so that might be different?

Playwrights Horizons has their own publishing channel for the shows they premier - I don't know enough about publishing to say how that works exactly, but all of their scripts are published pretty much immediately, with the PH logo on the cover. But this is very unusual in the US (it's quite common in the UK). In most cases, the publishing time varies a lot - but in my experience it usually ranges from a few months to a year, sometimes more.
