One of my professor's is directing this for a children's theater downtown and I was just wondering how you all felt about it. How are the roles? Are there any for a twenty year old? Any good songs for a young male to sing? etc. Thanks.

About the only two I can think of would be "Young Scrooge" in the flashbacks... or the guy who owe's him money (Tom Jenkins) who sings "Thank You Very Much."

20 is too young for Bob Cratchitt (with all those kids)... and you'd be a little long in the tooth for Tiny Tim... :)

But if they're not casting "age appropriately" for the roles, there are quite a lot of good men's parts in it.

Well, I'm not DYING to be a part of the show. It just seemed like something fun to do in the winter months, but I don't want to waste my time, when I SHOULD be studying. I don't get a chance to show off my voice around here, so I thought I'd try a a musical, but if there's no real part in the show...it seems kind of pointless?

"Younge Scrooge" is probably the best 20 year old part in the show, and he has a good duet with the lady friend.

Cool, thanks. I might look into it. I didn't really care for the score, but it's children's theater, so at least it's a fun show.
