Just curious about something - so I've checked out Seat Geek for tickets to Sunset Blvd. And its strange that as show-times draw closer some seats pop up that weren't there earlier in the day and the colors are different all over the place. Is this people trying to re-sell tickets at the last minute? Last Saturday two friends wanted to go and the theatre map looked pretty much sold out except for a few scattered seats here and there. Two hours before show time, they showed me that these great seats center orchestra just popped up. And I've been checking a few times this week and noticed the same thing happening.
They must be tickets released by the box office closer to show time. If you click on a seat, and you see "Official Online Box Office" tnen it's not resale.

Sweets, this last-minute release has been going on for decades. I used to get excellent house seats like 2 hours before showtime back in the 80s. Same with sold-out concerts. Excellent seats turn up hours before showtime. This isn’t just a Seat Geek thing. It’s with every venue box office and official ticket seller like Tele-Charge and Ticketmaster.
