Jamie Lloyd-helmed EVITA revival to play the London Palladium in 2025

BroadwayLuv2 said: "Anyone know if they will be using an alternate like Evita typically does? Would like to get tickets but want to make sure it’s for a Rachel performance."

I haven't booked tickets myself, but I saw on another board that people who did found that if there were performances that Rachel is scheduled to be off, there was a notification on the screen before they purchased tickets.

The production is still perfect for me. I love it. Tonight's audience was incredible, we were all enraptured by the proceedings. Long curtain call.

Just got in from tonights performance as well!&nbs

OK - so here's a question - does anyone know why they opened the balcony for tomorrow night's performance with Mandy Gonzalez guest starring?  Pretty much the balcony has been closed for Tuesday nights - and it looks like they've sold pretty well for tomorrow night

I feel like it worked bc one thing that's never made sense about the musical is how damned earnest all the ALW power ballads seem as a response to a movie that is deliberately cruel and ironic. Billy Wilder made you care about Norma by highlighting all the ways she's ridiculous. It's pathetic and sad. ALW power ballads are more "yasss queen" than pathetic and sad.

But by making it all so artifcia

I was fortunate to see George Hearn numerous times in the Broadway production with each of the different Normas - who was amazing in his own right for sure... but I agree with this 100%.  What made this production so dramatic for me was that I had emotional connections that I had never had before - especially with Norma

It's like a thrilling cross between Carrie/Sweeney Todd with the star power of Hello, Dolly all mixed into one. It's so hard to pull off horror on stage in a way that is actua

West End SUNDAY or SWEENEY Chances?
 Mar 1 2025, 11:51:48 PM

I caught "Sunday" on a last minute whim a few days after it opened and was able to get a front row, center orchestra seat for a relatively decent price.  Was an incredibly magical afternoon and something I was sure would have some further life after their limited run wrapped up.  Indeed another sad chapter of the COVID chaos that I kept waiting to see might get rectified each season in the west end but I saw the same rumor about a revival with Garfield/Eliot that binau ref

people seriously want to re-hash the hat controversy (and mis represent what she said and what she was supporting again???)

Well hate to burst anyone balloon... but if the show comes to LA the only way it does is with Nicole in it.

I don't think that's accurate.  They had said from the get-go that Nicole was only playing till July and I'm sure that the motivation is to try to recoup by then, like they did in London with Nicole.  From what it looks like, they're probably about half-way to recouping right now and hopefully this Spring/early summer as tourist picks up and Awards Season kicks in, the

Was this announced somewhere or are you getting that from the tickets on sale?  I knew Nicole was only scheduled till July and Seth Meyers when he interviewed Nicole a few weeks ago said "Now through July" but I wasn't sure if they were going to try to find a replacement cast or what.

Its been a bit of a hobby (obsession?) for me to check the seating charts pretty regularly.  It's crazy for those of us a bit older to think back to the days when shows would be sold out for months in advance and you would go to a cancellation line the day of hoping for something (or paying a scalper on the street o

It's all a bit unclear about what the plans are.  I've heard them saying a few times that the show is playing "now through July" - so July 6th might not only be Nicole's last night, but also their closing night.  But I suppose it depends on whether they decide to extend and try to find a replacement or not, or if the show gets a lot of nominations for awards and that starts to drive audiences/ticket prices up again, perhaps they might do a short-extension (to m

I prefer watching a character only instead of the personal life of the actress. This moment should be only about the storyline of the show. Also, everything that comes after it feels like anti-climax to me. The build up in the song was written for a reason.

I guess it comes down
