Does anyone have any input as to the best location in the Majestic to see Phantom? I usually prefer Mezz, but there are definitely shows and theatres that have certain areas which are better than others.
Thanks and Happy New year to all!!

It really doesn't matter. The only thing that is cool is if you're close to the chandelier when it "falls." The best spots are front row mezz, or center orchestra, around the 4th-10th row.

It's also nice to sit in the front orchestra because you get to see the actor's emotions and facial expressions. Hugh's finale is heartbreaking to watch up close. *tear*
The stage at the Majestic is low which is great for those sitting in the front rows. You don't have to look up! I've seen this show many times ( and have found the best seats to be those in the front center orchestra (1st 4 rows)---then you can see the facial expressions. You feel as if you're experiencing the emotions yourself! Enjoy!
yea either 1st few rows in orchestra or 1st row in mezzanine...spelling?
Morrible: Yes, yes, of course! Oh, You must be Miss Nessarose, the governor's daughter. What a tragically beautiful face you have! Sees Elphaba, snorts...And you must be.
Elphaba: I'm the other daughter. Elphaba. I'm beautifully tragic.
Morrible: Yes, yes, I'm sure you're very bright.
Galinda: Bright? She's phosphorescent.
i love wicked!
I was in second row Mezzanine and the only annoying thing about that was that you could see the wire pulling the chandelier. Otherwise, they were great seats.
Keep in mind, you don't want to go further back than about Row M in the orchestra. You'll be under the mezz and miss all the running around up above and half of the chandelier's fall.
Perfect love, perfect sin...there is no perfect anything.

yeah...when I went with school in march we sat in the last few rows of the orch. You don't really know the chandelier fell until its practicall y onstage. If I hadn't have seen it a couple years before sitting in the mezz, I wouldn't have known. And even far away though Hugh was amazing. I think half of my friends on that trip were crying by the end of the show because of him.
I know what you mean...sometimes just a couple of rows can make a big difference. Overall, I prefer "Center" Orchestra seats. Click on the link below to see a Majestic Theatre Seating Chart.
