I sat in the front row on Friday night and enjoyed it. The stage wasn't too high.
I recommend sitting closer to the center of the row if you can. On the ends of the row, the view is occasionally briefly blocked by either a bed (stage left) or a bar (stage right).

Hey Adam--I just googled and came up with an old thread from this board where everyone seemed to say the Simon was one of the theaters with a high stage that killed their necks! So now I'm surprised by your answer. Do you think it depends on the show? Are you incredibly tall?

I'm only 5'10".
I didn't find the Neil Simon stage nearly as high as either the Palace or the Broadway.
