Posted: 7/9/05 at 4:04amGotta say I really liked the show. Not perfect, but still loved it. Not gonna get into a detailed review, but the performances were awesome. Brian Earp is AMAZING. He's totally someone I think someday in the future I'll say "I saw him when...".

re: Seattle premiere of JOHN & JEN opens Thursday, July 7#7
Posted: 7/9/05 at 11:39amno, but ann evans is equity. Mark Rabe does a wonderful job with the music, and I personally thought Brian Earp was nothing short of amazing. That boy can act. And sing. Like I said, the show's not perfect, but it was well worth it.

Posted: 7/9/05 at 11:52amI'm torn whether to see it or not. Hard to beat Carolee in the role, but I may take a look. I hate that space though. Two big poles in the middle of the stage.
re: Seattle premiere of JOHN & JEN opens Thursday, July 7#9
Posted: 7/9/05 at 12:15pmI do hope to be able to see this show in L.A. someday. Though unlike Lippa's Wild Party, I find the musical forgettable (and that's after listening to the OCR several times), I'm sure it's a very powerful experience due to the story and performances.
re: Seattle premiere of JOHN & JEN opens Thursday, July 7#10
Posted: 7/9/05 at 12:22pmI like John and Jen much more than Lippa's embarrasing Wild Party.
re: Seattle premiere of JOHN & JEN opens Thursday, July 7#11
Posted: 7/9/05 at 12:56pmAgreed - but I still think JOHN AND JEN is a clunker.

Posted: 7/9/05 at 1:05pmbobby... I don't know when was the last time you were there, but since the last time I was at the Schmee they've changed the seating. The poles are still there, but the audience is now 'centered' and the poles aren't really in the way.

Posted: 7/9/05 at 1:24pmThat's good. I haven't been there in more than a year. I always fear of being in that space during a natural disaster. Well if anything, I can seek shelter in the bathhouse next door

Posted: 7/10/05 at 2:32amI love this show. I have never actually seen it, but I am in love with the CD. Carolee was incredible. I wish I could see an actual production
