Seeking Dolly advice

I've never sat there, but in the thread for Bette's first run as Dolly, some mentioned they didn't like the boxes. Honestly, the view will probably be worse than what you have.

Everyone says mezzanine ( except the last two rows)is best for this show. Are you familiar with the site A view from my Seat? It might help.

The box seats have the same issue as the far side orchestra seats. You will miss stuff. What date are you planning on going, and how much do you want to spend? I can take a look and give you suggestions.

During this run, you mean? Seeking Dolly advice

I found the box seats to be a lot of fun especially on a Bette night. You are very close. You feel like you can reach out . And the pasarelle view from those seats is on a glorious level. I don't know if they would be seats I would choose to see the show from for the first time. But I had a great time the night I saw Bette from them on my third time. However..if your going for the box seats make sure you are seated in the front of the box and not behind. And get there early. While your seat is assigned the seats are movable . When I went someone had gotten there before me and had convenient moved the seats around to their convenience. I straightened it all out. But it was awkward.

Turban, did you miss any of the action at all?

I sat on the right side box . I only missed the scene between Ernestina and Horace at the restaurant. Some other things I had to lean forward for. But not much. It truly was magical place to see the show from for me. Especially during the title number.

Thanks, Turban!

I got the box seats. It worked out, because they were of equal value to the row K seats.

Even if a bit of the action is missed, these seats are great for me. The reason is that I'm 6'5, and seats in Broadway theaters are miserable for me. When I see shows at the Pantages or the Ahmanson in LA its fine, but Broadway seats seem to be much tighter.

So, I'll have no one in front of me. Plenty of leg room. The other constant problem is, I'm so tall that I often cause sight problems for the person sitting behind me. For this, the person behind me can just shift his chair for a better view.

So yeah! Me and my mom end our 40 year Broadway odyssey seeing the great start Bernadette Peters in her final performance of the great play Hello Dolly in a couple of fancy, special seats!

EDIT Betty Buckley is playing Dolly at the Pantages.

EDIT AGAIN I think. There is a big banner with her name on it that plays during a slide show on the site, but as far as I know there's been no official announcement.
