Anyone have any honest connections for South Pacific tickets? Craigslist has been prostituted by Scum Ticket Scalpers. e-mail noel_deking@platts.com or 212.904.4203 Thanks

Try Ebay or Stubhub

Well, if her definition of "Scum Ticket Scalpers" is "someone who wants more than face value for their ticket," she'll be sadly disappointed.

Telecharge or the box office are the only places that will sell them at face value.

Ebay and Stubhub are the same company-- it is supply and demand, my friend

I try my trusty friend Telecharge. Tickets aren't 100% sold out...you can still find tickets for later this year, right?

Now they are not. I found tickets for August.

After July, it pretty much opens up. June is very tight. July has some openings, but August, onward, is clear.

I was successful in an eBay purchase for SOUTH PACIFIC tix for Tony weekend. 'Tis truly a miracle. Some a-hole tried to sneak in during the last few seconds of the auction, but I succeeded. Amen.

Oh, and I ended up spending about $40 extra for each ticket.

How is this seat:

1 Ticket, Right Side Orch Row K, Seat 511
8 rows from Stage. Seat 511 is 11 seats off aisle.

Or this...

1 Ticket, Center Loge Row D, Seat 314
Row 4 CENTER LOGE. Seat 314 is 4 seats off aisle.

"June is very tight". Very tight? When I called the box office nearly two months ago asking for any two seats in June I was told there was not a single performance with two seats, and only a handful with a couple singles.

I agree with the frustration of the original poster. There are hundreds and hundreds of seats available from scalpers -- starting at several hundred dollars each. Supply and demand is not controlled by the audience demand or by the box office, but by the money-grubbing scalpers who buy out the bulk of tickets making it nearly impossible to get them direct at full face value.
