September 2016 New York Theater Openings
These include lots of shows about politics; two solo shows on Broadway; Judith Light in a solo performance in a new Neil LaBute play Off-Broadway; and bio-dramas of 19th century actor Edwin Booth, Leonard Bernstein, Nat Turner, "Queen of Race Records” Sister Rosetta Tharpe, and one of the first women police detectives in New York.
