Why are you assuming this is a pro-Kerry thing? Let me let you in a secret- Republicans go to the theater, too. Sometimes those Republicans are even friends who come with me.
Shocking, isn't it? Even more shocking is the notion that shows might see it as a civic virtue to eliminate one possible scheduling conflict so the people who work for them can go vote. Craziness.
Plum, that's KA-RAZY talk!
I think Plum is a little frustrated this election season an making irrational assumptions about my reference to Kerry in my post. That's a sign that YOU'RE wrapped up in it not me. I am very a-political. haha Updated On: 10/24/04 at 02:17 PM

How the hell am I supposed to take that "sneaky" Kerry reference?
Oh, and if you're apolitical, that's your misfortune. Have fun disempowering yourself. I consider it a virtue to be wrapped up in the election.
Now who's using this site for political references and you're disliking of non-active voters. There is a such a thing as disagreeing with both sides. You started this one Plum. Updated On: 10/24/04 at 02:46 PM

Not really, sweets. Read your first post again.
**caugh**Kerry**caugh election
(By the way, the spelling is "cough," but that's besides the point)
Once again, how am I supposed to take that? As a politically neutral aside? Bull****.
And to answer your question, I looked up a few shows and they don't seem to be altering their schedules, so this doesn't appear to be a mass phenomenon.

Well thank you for answering the question in the post but otherwise I was in no way refering to this being a big plan to have shows dark for election but MOVIN OUT was so I raised the question. I was simply mentioning Kerry to please the majority of the board since he's probably going to loose!! An innocent thing!! You're the one on a political rage so please for god's sake SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!

You're not seeing the contradiction there? Okay.
And honey, you haven't seen me in a political rage. So don't for one second presume to tell me to shut the hell up.
I was looking through some random show schedules on Broadway.com, and as far as I can tell, Movin' Out is the only show that has moved a regular Tuesday performance to Monday. That's a good place to check because you can see the schedule for the entire month for the show you're interested in.

Guys! Chill. It's okay to have different political views. Besides, there are more important things in life that analyzing, re-analyzing, and arguing over the meaning of one line in a post. Just reading this thread was giving me a headache.

Frankly, voteKerry it seems a little silly voteKerry to assume that because voteKerry someone puts a plug for Kerry voteKerry in their post, that they're voteKerry automatically Democrats. After all, voteKerry they might be Republicans voteKerry who simply just wish to ensure that people voteKerry get out there and vote voteKerry.
All we've learned from this is that I'm apolitical and Plum is psycho political and predudice against non-voters. Updated On: 10/25/04 at 12:39 AM
Political views aside, am I the only one who thinks Kerry looks like Herman Munster?
He looks like Jay Leno and Bush looks like a hot dog!

He looks like Treebeard from Lord of the Rings.
he kinda looks like the moon man! or a banana..lol
If Jay Leno was skinnier, he would be John Kerry.
Um, okay, so this might sound dumb... but while I don't agree with Bush in terms of policy I think he looks terribly adorable... you know, like he would make a really cute stuffed animal... *cough, cough* then again that just may be me... or the drugs talking...

Oh, I'm so hurt. Being considered a psycho by bronxboundexpress, the glorified troll. Excuse me while I go off to weep my sorry little heart out.
Prejudiced against non-voters? Yes, I am. If you have citizenship and the opportunity to vote but you pass it by- like I said, you're just screwing yourself over. And I don't have a lot of patience for that, especially when an election is as urgent as it is this year.
Maybe if natural-born citizens had to wait ten years, deal with rude INS employees, and take a friggin' test before they could vote, they'd value it a little more.
I doubt this decision has any party affiliation. The shows that are doing this are doing it as a courtesy to the voters to allow them to have until the polls close to vote instead of rushing home from work, voting and then rushing to the theater. They probably figure the audience would be late or leave early if they didn't do this.
And...if it helps defeat Bush...I'd be the first in line to support it anyway.
No Matter what, this is still Plum's thread to give his political views so lets let him finish.
