Usually how early in advance do they announce who will be interviewed at Don't Tell Mama's every week? I'm going to New York in July and I was thinking of going if there is anyone I like there that Thursday.

There's usually an email sent out by Seth on MON TUES that week
This week June 28, 2007 - Debra Monk
Check out Seth's website for INFO, or to sign up for his listings!

Seth sometimes doesn't know until a couple days prior himself... Last week at David Hyde Pierce he was able to announce Debra Monk for this week -- and someone whom I've forgotten now for next -- which he said is the most advance notice he's given. (I want to say it was someone else from "Curtains" but I could very well be wrong.)

I'd be sure to hold that Thursday in July open in your schedule. Chatterbox is done right around 7pm so it will definitely be possible to get to an 8:00 show if you so desire.

And if you're worried about reservations, don't be. I reserved the day before and got in just fine... if you want a table close to the front you should show up before 5:30.

It's not Karen, Walt (she appeared at Chatterbox a month ago...sorry).

It's Victoria Clark.

Yes... that's it... Thanks MasterLcZ. I remember thinking that she would be a good guest, but with DHP and Deb Monk I had Curtains on the brain...

Regarding reservations, usually there isn't any problem just showing up or making a last-minute reservation, but if Seth has a really popular guest with a big fan base (Kristin Chenoweth and Bebe Neuwirth were two who I saw), Chatterbox books up completely almost immediately once that guest is announced, because it is such a small space. If he's booked, there is a waiting list, but that's always a gamble.

Just a warning, FYI.
