When was the last time this was staged on Broadway? It's such a fun musical and I'm always amazed at the dancing. Saw it at the outdoor theatre at Sundance (Utah)and it was amazing. I couldn't believe how athletic the brothers were. :o)

It's a fun musical! The only place I've ever seen it done onstage was at a dinner theatre in DC several years ago... I grew up on the movie, though.
I'd like to see it revived...

Well, it IS. You have to admit, plot-wise, it's a titch problematic.
I loved this movie, but can't imagine it being done in this day and age on stage anywhere. It's so difficult to do, dance wise, and Finding Namo has a point- it's a little sexist.

Beacon1 - are you sure it wasn't southern Utah at Tuacahn? I just know they did it there a few years ago and I wasn't familiar with an outdoor theatre at Sundance. Just wondering!
A local theatre company here in Vegas tried to do the show this spring, but they couldn't find enough guys to cast it!

Yes, Sundance Theatre is part of Robert Redford's "spread" up in Provo Canyon. It was about 10-12 years ago, I guess, that I saw it. (Could be a bit more.) I lived in Salt Lake and had some friends attending Brigham Young University. We would meet in Provo and then go up the canyon. The theatre is set into a hillside and you sit on the hillside. It's really neat! And, being from Buffalo, it was neat to see that the refreshment stand sold "Buffalo Chicken Wings" during intermission! :o)
I haven't heard that they discontinued the theatre program so it may still being going on . I saw "Pippin", "Camelot", "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and one other that escapes me right now. For "Seven Brides" I think some of the performers were from BYU.
