I'm going to be in NYC for Labor Day weekend. And, I noticed that Two Gentlemen from Verona will be playing at "Shakespeare in the Park" that weekend. Do you know how difficult it will be to get tickets (for Sunday night)? I noticed from the website that tickets are only given out on the day of each performance.

Thanks for your help!

P.S. I already have tickets to see Spamalot and Avenue Q. I can't wait!!!

FYI...participants of Shakespeare Lab get tickets either on August 21, or Sept 4th...there aren't that may of them...but who knows. I suggest just getting to Delacourt really early.

Tickets are distributed at 1PM, and are usually all gone by 1:30. If you're going on a Sunday, be in line no later than 10AM. The first 50 people who don't get tickets get standby vouchers, which allows them to come back promptly at 6:30PM and get first crack at the returned tickets. Good luck!

If you have the ability, I'd say get in line at 9 AM just to be sure. Labor Day Weekend might be tougher than most,

When we went to see As You Like It, we got there about 9:15 on sunday morning and were able to get tickets. I just walked by the theater and saw the set being erected for Two Gentlemen (at least I imagine it was for that - it opens soon, no?) It's a huge scaffolding painted bright robin's egg blue, with many levels and circular staircases - it looks fun.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

From my experience (I go every year), it really is luck of the draw.

"Does getting there "early" get you "better" tickets?"

It just depends. It's really luck of the draw.

Also remember that they give tickets out down at the Public (Astor Place) between 1 and 3 pm. I don't know what the line situation down there is, but it might be easier to walk up and get them there.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
