Going to see it tonight--has anyone seen it yet?
It's so nice to think of a Globe production still running even though it's December. I've been quite bereft without my regular visits to my favourite outdoor theatre since it shuttered itself in October (and I really have no interest in the Christmas thing they're doing right now).
Anyway, saw it twice in September, and enjoyed it a whole bunch. It's a genuinely funny production of a trickily-wordy play, and the cast are awesome. It also pleases my need to have Shakespeare performed in regional accents (well, Welsh; Shakespeare in Welsh accents is AWESOME), and Michelle Terry is just plain superb as the Princess of France.
Hope you enjoy it! Full report when you get back! :3

I enjoyed it very much - even if the humor did stem from the bawdiness of the staging than the play itself.
I just love the way they do Shakespeare!
Yes, Weez--Michelle Terry as the Princess really commanded the play. And she served us grapes during the intermission!
And I fell in madly love with Trystan Gravelle as Berowne, who had a wonderful Captain Jack-like charisma.
Yankee--I don't mind their bawdiness at all. There's no way we can know what "bawdy acting" felt like in Shakespeare's day, but I feel very comfortable imagining it was very much like what they do--fart jokes and codpiece grabbing and all.
Go, if you're considering it. Go!
