Has anyone seen this play yet? A few of my collegues in the DC area have raved over it to no end. I'm thinking of checking it out this Sat or Sun since its run has been extended through 01/30 over at the Manhattan Theatre Club.

I haven't seen it, but I know that it's getting a lot of great attention. And hey- it's John Patrick Shanley. I would see it now, apparently the show in the theatre it was supposed to go into on Broadway was extended and they don't have a broadway theatre. There's a production of it scheduled to go up at Pasadena Playhouse this spring which is why I chose not to see it in NY.
I've seen "Doubt" twice.
The first time I saw it was during the preview period. My wife and I made it a double MTC day: matinee of "Reckless" and "Doubt" at night. I could hardly breathe during the show it was so good. Cherry is giving the performance of her career as Sister Aloycious. As somebody who went to Catholic school from K1 to 12, I know many nuns just like her.
Brian is amazing. Should this show make Broadway b/f end of the season-and it will most likely transfer to the Walter Kerr when "Gem" closes in early spring, or so I've heard...-he will win his second consecutive Tony.
The second time I caught it, I went by myself.
My wife was on Long Island visiting her mom, and she had our three year old with her. I went to the ticket line, and was shocked to find that there were tickets available. I bought them, and was blown away. See this show immediately! You only have until Jan. 30 at MTC.
But come spring...
