I'm pretty sure Eden made that horrible song up.

It's a wretched song - it figures that they'd assign it to Eden.

Yea, it's written in as bows or following bows - but I feel that it completely ruins the emotional ending of the show. Bad bad song. It was written in 1992- approx. 24 year after the rest of the amazing score.

The sheet music does exist - I have it somewhere (although my production wisely cut it,) but it's only available in the score from Tams Witmark. As far as I know...

It's not a bad song if it were on an album or something - like the 2005 concert. But when put in amongst the conext of the show, it ruins it. It's almost as if a 5th grader wrote lyrics to a song about Hippies - it isn't a song Hippies would sing. It's a song that people in 1990 would sing - almost mocking hippies. It doesn't work in the context of the show.

"How I love my hippie life!
What a far out trip!"

No hippie would say that.

Eden's voice just doesn't fit the music. Not that the music is good. I love Hair, a lot. I think it is a great, vibrant piece of theatre. But Hippie Life just doesn't fit.
