Sheraton NY Hotel & Towers

We'll be in NYC for three nights in Jan.05, the last week Idina will be in "Wicked," and we're staying at the Sheraton on 811 7th Ave. Does anyone have any comments about staying there? We hope the place isn't a dump. We wanted someplace not too far from the theatre discrict. Appreciate positive/negative feedback.

It's a comfortable hotel. The beds are soft and the rooms are clean. They aren't fancy shmancy for the money, but the location is great.

I love this hotel. I can't say enough good things about all of the hotels in the starwood family (Sheraton, Westin, W, Four Points) The beds are comfy, the location is great, and most importantly the rooms are clean. It's not my favorite hotel in the city though...that goes to the Westin Times Square :) I've stayed there a few times, if you have questions feel free to PM!

I think this it the one that has a pool. The one across the street(Manhattan) has a health club u can use either as a Sheraton client ( if u have time frm seeing shows!) It is a pretty good location can usually walk to most shows in 10-20 mins.

They sent us to the wrong room (the one they sent us to had not been cleaned). I went down to tell them and get another room and they gave me one and $150 dinner coupon for any of their restaurants for the inconvenience.

I got my room there on Hotwire.com (extremely cheap!!) and figured they would stick me in some corner smoking room on the 2nd floor. No, I was on the 39th floor in a great re-modeled room. Non-smoking. Very nice time.

also, make sure you join the starwood preferred guest program...it's a rewards program that is actually good!
