are there any gun shots? is there anything overly loud that would easily scare someone? anything else I should need to know?

It's not so much scary as it is creepy, like someone else said. There is nothing that would really make you "jump", like an explosion or anything. Maybe one or two instances of quick lighting changes or entrances that might startle you - but nothing extreme.

Don't know if you are considering taking children to this, but there is an enormous paper mache phallus at the end of the show that was making some of the parents around me uncomfortable since they had children with them that were 5 or 6 years old.
