I received several responses from people but I never accomplished what I was aiming for. Does anybody know if there's any sort of cast recording from Shogun? We saw Shogun at the Kennedy Center several times during its pre-Broadway run. It was one of the first times in my early love of Broadway that I was able to watch a show change so dramatically from our first viewing in DC through subsequent DC performances, and then seeing it once more after it opened at the Marquis. The one particular song that my partner and I fell deeply in love with is titled "Born to be Together". My partner has since passed away and when I go onto iTunes, there are a number of songs titled "Born to be Together", but I can't tell that any of these songs are the one that I'm looking for from the musical. It would mean an awful lot to me if anybody can be of help to me in finding this important song in my memory.

Many years ago, I was the Art Director for marketing for Smuin Ballet. Michael Smuin directed Shogun. I am not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Smuin Ballet Company maintains a copy of a recording. I would contact them in San Francisco.
They're all very nice people and if possible, I am sure they will help.
