Posted: 11/27/05 at 8:29amJust wondering, has anyone seen her cover any of these roles? I just read on the Wicked website that she covered these roles and I find it interesting because I'd never think she'd play those parts (I knew she covered for Tracy...)

Posted: 11/27/05 at 9:38amI've heard a recording of her as the Matron, but not as Prudy or Velma....she was amazing at the end of "Big Dollhouse" because she did all these riffs....

I wonder if Julie Halston can sing. If so I think she would make a great Velma Von Tussel.

She was in GYPSY?
Wow. I missed it. I would love to see her as Velma. She would be perfect. Then Jackie Hoffman can come back!!!

I really like Jackie Hoffman in those roles.
The person who played the roles of the female authority figures was good too but maybe I liked Jackie better because it was more of a surprise. Does that make sense?

Posted: 11/27/05 at 12:04pmi'm not a fan of Julie in these roles. she doesn't do much with the characters. No one can beat Jackie. I think Liz Larson was excellent. Jane Blass is AMAZING on the tour. She does her own thing with all three roles to make them different and DEFINITELY succeeds. that woman needs more recognition!

Julie is very funny, but she would make a great Velma.
Jackie Hoffman is one of the funniest in the biz.

YES! millie, thank you for the lead in. i've had this idea for a thread on the main board for a looooooooooooong time but never posted it. thanks for thinking the same way as me
