The first 200 people to show up at the XANADU Box Office on Monday, May 14th (the day the box office opens) in rollerskates or wearing 80s-inspired clothing between 12:00-2:00pm can purchase up to 2 tickets for $19.80 a piece, to commemorate the year the movie came out!
Refreshments and live entertainment will also be provided.

Wow, I could knit up a pair PDQ, and I still have one of my old pair of quads (I use to skate competitively)up in the attic.
And so it begins. I do have the feeling that this may be a flop of epic proportions, but who knows it could be so quirky it just might work.

Too bad I will miss this by a couple days. I would love to break out my old figure skates and do an axel on the streets of manhattan for a cheap ticket! :)

I honestly can't think of *anything* I have that I can wear, and I'm totally going to be around at that time, so I have no excuse not to go. $19.80 is just the price to take a risk on this show.
Hey, if anyone in the city who can't make it has skates that they can lend me and let me wear, I'll grab you a ticket too.

When the press release says "live entertainment will be provided" are they referring to the Monday afternoon event or Xanadu itself?
If it's the show, I just hope they're able to back up that claim.
